Slaughter And May

I was asked to shoot this beautiful recruitment brochure for Slaughter and May with Rose Design.

We set out to capture something a bit different for a corporate recruitment brochure, something a bit more relaxed, edgy and a bit more Sunday Supplement than corporate brochure.

Slaughter and May wanted to shoot their brochure in a similar way to my online folio / website lay out and to my surprise, it wasn't my corporate folio they were talking about, they wanted me to shoot this like my editorial portraits.

The results are nice and relaxed with loads of personality.

Behind the scenes from my new short movie "Sweetheart"

Yesterday, I finished editing and grading a short film that I shot and Directed with a good friend of mine Michael Heffernan. It's called "Sweetheart" The film has a dark theme with an ending that will hopefully surprise.

We're in the middle of looking for some music for Sweetheart at the moment and will then put the film live on vimeo ( if anyone is interested in doing the music for us please get in touch ).

The Challenge - a short film

2012 has been a great and exciting year for me, a busy year, a year of trying out new things and learning new tricks.

I wasn't sure where to start with this update, there's been so many new things to post but I thought I'd start with this, since it's a nice change for my blog.

Recently I've been asked to direct movies, dramas and pop promos all of which are still in the making, I was even asked to present a tv program about photography ( watch this space ).

The Challenge is a short lifestyle film, shot by a good friend of mine Michael Heffernan.

The Challenge is the story of three very bored kids who transform their day with a contest that sees them exploring home, garden, and beach.

My part in this short film was to edit, structure, grade, do the sound and remix the track to suit the film.

Barclays Bank

I don't normally put corporate work on my blog but I love this shot and I thought it would make a nice change and break from my usual portrait work. I'm extremely fortunate that my corporate clients also book me for the style that I love to shoot and I'm known for i.e. daylight and natural, keeping it real.

I'm always being asked to add some behind the scene shots of me at work but I never usually get the time to do so, but as I only had one person to shoot on this assignment, I thought I'd take the opportunity to have my assistant Paul take some behind the scene shots.

The photos were taken in the Barclay's head office in Canary Wharf and was shot for one of my American clients, a creative agency based in Boston. The photo is of Kara Larsen a Vice President at Barclay's Bank.

Lisa Greenfield - Actress

Lisa Greenfield is a bubbly wee thing, great fun and always up for a laugh. Lisa has been carving away at her acting career since 2008. Recently you'll have seen her in The Hour playing Sissy Cooper, Annabel in Eastenders and Zoe Perkins in Hacks

Graeme Dalling

I drove down to Brighton to shoot Graeme in his own home where he enjoys some great sea views from his balcolny. Graeme is playing alongside Stephanie Powers at the moment in "On Golden Pond" written by American playwright Ernest Thompson.

MyAnna Buring - Actress

It was a pleasure to meet and shoot the lovely MyAnna Buring. MyAnna needed some new photos after being nominated Best Actress at the BIFA awards for the movie Kill List, The most Gripping and Best British Thriller in years. MyAnna is probably best known for her role in the horror movie The Descent and more recently Kill List and The Twilight Saga.
