Sweetheart - a short film

Sweetheart is the new short film that I shot, edited and colour graded along with my good friend Michael Heffernan who did a great job of the writing and directing. Sweetheart tells the story of a woman who has chosen a path in life that frequently leads to mental torment and physical damage. In her most difficult moments she depends on a man who obsessively pushes her to follow his demands.

This film is a collaboration with a team of very talented people.
Jacquline Freeman (represented by MOT models) in the lead role playing Sweetheart in her debut acting role. Cherrelle Brown's role is pivotal in the final scenes and Laura Marsh did a wonderful job with grooming and make-up / special effects.

Music Video

I was asked to shoot and edit the new Mic Righteous / Steffi Music Video called "Find Me" which was released last night on SBTV, it's been less than 24 hours and the video has already had 7,568. hits.

Mic Righteous is a Hot New Rapper en route to the big time and Steffi is a brand new Online music based drama series with loads of great music.

Mic's last track went to No.1 in the Hip Hop charts and No.11 in the album charts only one hour after their release, here's hoping this new tune "Find Me" and the video does as well.

I was Director of Photography, plus I edited and graded the video. I hope you like it.

Stephanie Jay - Actress

Stephanie Jay is an actress, writer and model from London, she trained at The Anna Scher Theatre School, The Cockpit Theatre and completed her training at The East 15 Acting school.
She is co- author and original cast member of 'When Women Wee' (Nominated best ensemble performance at The What’s On Stage Awards).

Stephanie will appear in the "The Powder Room" playing 'Alex' along with Sheridan Smith, Jamie Winston, Kate Nash & Oona Chaplin, due for cinema release 2013.

Stephanie has also recently worked on a RSA Comedy pilot 'Who Thought of it first' and The Channel 4 Production 'Confession' in which She plays 'Emily' The Poet Charles Bukowski's muse.
She is currently working on her next writing project ' BUZZ ' a comedy sitcom.

Slaughter And May

I was asked to shoot this beautiful recruitment brochure for Slaughter and May with Rose Design.

We set out to capture something a bit different for a corporate recruitment brochure, something a bit more relaxed, edgy and a bit more Sunday Supplement than corporate brochure.

Slaughter and May wanted to shoot their brochure in a similar way to my online folio / website lay out and to my surprise, it wasn't my corporate folio they were talking about, they wanted me to shoot this like my editorial portraits.

The results are nice and relaxed with loads of personality.

Yesterday, I finished editing and grading a short film that I shot and Directed with a good friend of mine Michael Heffernan. It's called "Sweetheart" The film has a dark theme with an ending that will hopefully surprise.

We're in the middle of looking for some music for Sweetheart at the moment and will then put the film live on vimeo ( if anyone is interested in doing the music for us please get in touch ).

The Challenge - a short film

2012 has been a great and exciting year for me, a busy year, a year of trying out new things and learning new tricks.

I wasn't sure where to start with this update, there's been so many new things to post but I thought I'd start with this, since it's a nice change for my blog.

Recently I've been asked to direct movies, dramas and pop promos all of which are still in the making, I was even asked to present a tv program about photography ( watch this space ).

The Challenge is a short lifestyle film, shot by a good friend of mine Michael Heffernan.

The Challenge is the story of three very bored kids who transform their day with a contest that sees them exploring home, garden, and beach.

My part in this short film was to edit, structure, grade, do the sound and remix the track to suit the film.
